Guwahati-Shillong-Kaziranga Deluxe Package

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong (3-4hrs/100kms)

Arrive in Guwahati via flight or train. From there, transfer to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, which takes approximately 3-4 hours by road. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in to your hotel, relax, and freshen up. In the evening, explore Police Bazar, a lively market area, and take a peaceful stroll around Ward’s Lake. Enjoy some local delicacies for dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Shillong Sightseeing 

Start your day with a visit to Shillong Peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Khasi Hills. Next, explore Elephant Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Shillong. Afterward, head to the Don Bosco Museum to learn more about the culture and traditions of Northeast India. Continue your exploration by visiting the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, a lush green forest of cultural significance to the Khasi tribe. Later, visit Laitlum Canyons, which offers breathtaking views and great photo opportunities. In the evening, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, a stunning reservoir just outside Shillong. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunji (2hrs/60kms)

After breakfast, embark on a drive to Cherrapunji (approximately 2-3 hours). Once you arrive, visit Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Afterward, explore Mawsmai Cave, a well-lit limestone cave that is easy to explore. Next, visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, a series of stunning waterfalls in the region. In the evening, enjoy the cool, misty atmosphere of this hill station and stay overnight in Cherrapunji at a hotel or homestay.

Day 4: Cherrapunji Sightseeing 

Start your day with a visit to the famous Living Root Bridges in Nongriat Village. A short trek will lead you to the double-decker root bridge, a rewarding sight. Continue  to Dainthlen Waterfall, one of the most picturesque falls in the area, before heading to Thangkharang Park, which offers stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh. In the evening, relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Cherrapunji. Stay overnight in Cherrapunji.

Day 5: Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong & Dawki (2hrs/60kms) – Return to Shillong 

After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong Village (approx. 2 hours), known as the cleanest village in Asia. Walk around the village, enjoying its cleanliness and beautiful surroundings. Visit the Sky View in Mawlynnong, a bamboo structure offering panoramic views of the region, including a view of Bangladesh. Continue your journey to Dawki (about 1-1.5 hours), where you can enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River, famous for its crystal-clear waters. Afterward, return to Shillong by evening and enjoy an overnight stay there.

Day 6: Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (5hrs/200kms)

After breakfast, check out from your Shillong hotel and drive to Kaziranga National Park, which takes approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your resort, freshen up, and relax. You may also enjoy an optional safari or simply relax in the serene environment of your resort. In the evening, enjoy leisure time at the resort or explore the surroundings. Stay overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 7: Kaziranga National Park Safari & Departure

Start your day with an early morning elephant safari, followed by a jeep safari in the park to spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, and various birds. After the safari, visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park to explore its diverse range of orchids. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Guwahati (approx. 5 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
