Guwahati-Shillong-Cheerapunji Premium Package

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong (2.5hrs/100kms)

Arrive in Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. After your arrival, transfer to Shillong, which is about a 3-4 hour drive (approximately 100 km). Check-in to your hotel upon arrival in Shillong, freshen up, and relax. In the evening, explore Police Bazar, a lively market area, and enjoy a stroll around Ward’s Lake. You can also enjoy some local delicacies for dinner.

Day 2: Shillong Sightseeing

In the morning, visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Khasi Hills. Explore Elephant Falls, a beautiful waterfall located on the outskirts of Shillong. Visit the Don Bosco Museum to learn about the culture and traditions of Northeast India. Head to Mawphlang Sacred Forest, a lush green forest with significant cultural importance for the Khasi tribe. Explore Laitlum Canyons for breathtaking views and great photo opportunities. In the evening, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Umiam Lake (also called Barapani), a stunning reservoir just outside Shillong.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunji (2hrs/60kms)

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (approximately 2-3 hours). In the afternoon, visit Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Explore Mawsmai Cave, an impressive limestone cave that is well-lit and easy to explore. Visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, a series of waterfalls located in the area. Stay overnight in Cherrapunji and enjoy the cool, misty environment of this serene hill station.

Day 4: Cherrapunji Sightseeing

Visit the Living Root Bridges in Nongriat Village, one of the unique natural wonders of Meghalaya. You can take a short trek to reach the famous double-decker root bridge. Explore Dainthlen Waterfall and Thangkharang Park, which offers stunning views of Bangladesh’s plains. Relax and enjoy the evening in the tranquility of Cherrapunji.

Day 5: Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong & Dawki – Shillong (2hrs/60kms)

In the morning, drive to Mawlynnong village (2-3 hours), known as the cleanest village in Asia. Enjoy a walk around the village and admire its cleanliness and beautiful surroundings. Visit the Sky View in Mawlynnong, a bamboo structure offering panoramic views of the region and Bangladesh. Continue your journey to Dawki (about 1-1.5 hours), famous for its crystal-clear river Umngot. Enjoy a boat ride in the river, known for its transparent waters. Return to Shillong for the night.

Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati (2.5hrs/100kms)

After breakfast, check out from your Shillong hotel and drive to Guwahati (around 3-4 hours). Check in to your hotel in Guwahati. After freshening up, visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peeths in India, situated atop Nilachal Hill. In the evening, enjoy a Brahmaputra River Cruise, which offers beautiful views of the river, especially at sunset.

Day 7: Guwahati Sightseeing & Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
